Set your task and time limit.

Your timer is saved in this browser. Keep this page open for the completion sound. When the timebox ends, review what you finished before starting another.

Give one task a clear stopping point

Timeboxing means deciding in advance how much time to spend on an activity. Instead of waiting until an open-ended task feels finished, choose a limit, work within it, and review the result. This timer supports a single task with a limit from one to 480 minutes.

How to use this tool

  1. Name a task with a concrete result, such as Draft the opening paragraph.
  2. Enter a time limit in minutes and start the timebox. Pause and resume if an interruption requires it.
  3. At the completion sound, stop and review what you produced. Decide whether to finish, narrow the task, or start another timebox.

A practical example

Give inbox sorting 15 minutes. When time ends, review the remaining messages and decide what needs a separate task instead of extending the session without a decision.

Common questions

How is timeboxing different from Pomodoro?

A timebox is a chosen limit for a task or activity. A Pomodoro timer alternates repeated focus sessions and breaks. Use a timebox for a single bounded effort and Pomodoro when you want a repeating work-and-rest schedule.

Is my timebox saved if I reload?

The task and timer state are saved in this browser. A running timebox uses its saved end time to calculate what remains. Keep the page open and the device awake for the completion sound.
