Dates use your local midnight. Holiday dates are from the listed year's calendar; regional and moon-sighting dates may vary. You can enter any custom date above.

Use Share on the display to copy a countdown link. Shared dates represent the same moment for everyone, wherever they live.

Count the days until your next event

An event countdown tracks the time remaining until a calendar date and time. It suits birthdays, departures, celebrations, and project milestones. Unlike a duration timer, it continues to point to the chosen moment as the days pass.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter an event name and choose the date and time in your device’s local time zone.
  2. Save the countdown, or browse the occasion presets and check the suggested date before using it.
  3. Select a saved event to display it. Use Share on the display to copy a link for other people.

A practical example

For a trip leaving at 08:30 on a chosen date, enter that local departure time rather than midnight. If the departure is in another time zone, first work out the equivalent time in your device’s zone.

Common questions

Do shared countdowns end at the same moment everywhere?

Yes. Shared links represent the saved target instant, so people in different time zones count down to the same moment. The date you enter is initially interpreted in your own device’s local zone.

Why does a holiday preset use midnight?

Presets use local midnight for a date-based occasion. Actual celebrations or departures may start at another time, so edit the target when a specific start time matters.
